Mad TV Cancelled

Mad TV was cancelled after 14 years on Fox! I was a huge fan of this show and some of the actors who got their start. Artie Lange, now on the Howard Stern show got his big break as an actor on Mad TV. While never as popular as SNL, the show had a big cult following and 14 years is a great run in television.

May 16, 2009 was the final episode to air. Season one first aired in 1995. The show has been in syndication in the past on Comedy Central and Spike. Rumors are now that Comedy Central is in negotiation to buy rights to syndication of the entire library of episodes as well as the right to produce new episodes! This would be huge for us fans to keep even a few episodes a year going even as specials. Bring in some new comedians or rotate the cast through the show.
